While on my recent trip to Dubai, I had the pleasure of meeting with many interesting people in the food business. So many around the world people create great products, package them and put them out into the world for us to enjoy, but not all of those are created equal and certainly not all of those products are Halal. My time at the Gulf Food Show was quite a different experience, however, but I’ll write about that soon so stay tuned.

For now, I want to highlight one such company that you have probably seen me working with on sandwich recipes and party ideas, and that is the newest halal deli meat company called Deli Halal. By working with them I have learned many interesting details about their company, about their Founders and their special details that set them apart from other companies, which is the reason why I agreed to work with them and their halal products. They truly care about the quality of the products, the authenticity of their halal processing and educating the consumer about who they are and where their products can be found. In the meantime, you can watch these videos (two because we got disconnected in the midst of the first one) where co-Owner Chris Barnett and Director of Halal Transactions of Omaha, Jalot Al-Absy met to answer some of my questions and take the floor to talk about the why and how of what they do. Listen in and if you have any questions for any of us, please leave them in the comments below.
